Lebanon > Bekaa Valley

Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan were blended to craft this offering from one of the world's most historic and unique wine estates, the Lebanon-based Château Musar. These three varietals were blended after having spent a year in untoasted French Nevers barrels. It is a deep, rich garnet colour with aromas of raisins, cedar, prunes and cinnamon. The 2018 is a frankly superb wine, a beautiful deep garnet in the glass and packed with rich and concentrated flavours.

On the nose, dried cherries and matured red fruits jump out of the glass. An enticing smoky, dusty fruit with liquorice undertones.
On the palate, rich and concentrated flavours of cranberries, raisins, and dates with strong acidity and fine tannins

Musar's grapes are grown in the Bekaa valley, the ‘bread basket’ of ancient Rome, and transported over the high coastal range to the... Read More >>
