This Merlot-dominant blend comes from decades-old vines in the excellent value region of Lalande-de-Pomerol. Crafted by the always impressive team at Domaines de Moncets, Chambrun shines with delightful black fruit character and silky tannins reminiscent of those found down the road in Pomerol.
92/100 - Old vines in a 21-acre vineyard have produced this rich, dense wine. The wine has power and concentration, black-plum fruits and licorice flavors given extra power by the partial wood aging. The wine will age and should be ready from 2024. - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
