Run by brother and sister Alberto and Caterina Burzi, Burzi is a small, artisanal estate in La Morra crafting elegant wines with great purity of fruit and a strong sense of place. Its holdings include some of La Morra’s finest sites, such as La Serra and Capalot, with vines up to 80 years old.
The Langhe Nebbiolo 'Runcaja' is a delightful expression of the appellation: fragrant and refreshing, it is already hugely enjoyable in its youth and a wonderful introduction to Burzi’s beautiful range. Pretty and expressive, with high-toned notes of tart red fruit, rose petal and a touch of pink pepper, the palate is lithe, crunchy and vibrant, with fine tannins lending just enough structure. Delicious.
