With a family history in Chassagne-Montrachet dating back sixteen generations, it is fair to say that Thomas Morey is no stranger to the Chardonnay grape. This bottling is sourced from a single plot of 30-year-old vines planted on a south-facing hill at the west end of Saint-Aubin. Yet another fantastic white Burgundy from the ever-impressive winemaker, it's a right and fresh Chardonnay defined by resounding freshness and magnificent structure. With its characteristic fullness balanced by a refreshing acidity, this is an exceptional value 1er Cru from a true master winemaker.
On the palate, notes of lemon custard and terrific concentration frame the way to a long and excellent finish.
Best enjoyed on the younger side, this wine is capable of ageing for at least five years.
Enjoy as an apéritif, or pair alongside pan-seared scallops, linguine with clams and white wine sauce, or grilled shrimp.
