Jeanraude is a very small plot, contiguous with that of the legendary Château Grillet. Planted on Roman terraces and benefiting from the same poor, granitic soils and prime south-easterly aspect as their celebrated neighbour, the 30‑year‑old vines thrive here, producing a harmonious Condrieu of exceptional minerality and concentration.
On the nose, the wine opens with an enticing bouquet of white flowers, white peach, and floral and honeyed notes. On the palate, it is silky, textural and intense, yet balanced by a streak of mouthwatering acidity and appetising bitters. The finish is long, mineral and lingering.
The winemaking and bottling processes are
carried out under nitrogen flushing to limit the addition of
sulphur and fully preserve a pure expression of this unique terroir.
