The Armé Cabernet Sauvignon is named after the husband of Marietta and great-great uncle of owner/winemaker Scot Bilbro. A blend of fruit from their Alexander Valley and McDowell Valley vineyards lends this Cabernet a generous, lushly fruited and softly textured style, with depth and an intriguing savoury edge - the perfect pairing for a ribeye steak.
93/100 - The 2021 Armé Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 10% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. It has pretty tones of blueberries and black cherries with nuances of lavender, thyme and underbrush. On the nose, the Armé Cabernet shows pronounced, ripe dark fruit with accents of violets, mint, and dusty sage. On the palate, it's fleshy and rounded, yet lifted by refreshing acidity; textural and generous with velvety tannins, it finishes with appetising savoury overtones of Kalamata olive adding further complexity to the blackberry and blueberry fruit.

The fruit for this wine comes from two vineyards. The Angeli Estate in Alexander Valley, with its gravelly soils, cool, foggy mornings and sunny, warm afternoons, contributes ripe, fleshy, concentrated fruit and generous body. The McDowell Valley estate, situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, benefits from a cold-sink effect that ensures cool nights, lending the fruit bright acidity and spice.
