Le Chemin is a delightful Vacqueyras Blanc made by one of our favourite Southern Rhône producers, Domaine la Ligière. Grown at a range of sites around the appelation, the combination of hillside limestone and alluvial gravel soils yields a wonderful balance of subtle minearlity and pronounced aromatics in this blend of 40% Clairette, 40% Roussanne, 10% Grenache Blanc, and 10% Viognier. Aged in demi-muids on its lees for several months to add roundness and complexity, Le Chemin bursts from the glass with notes of white peach, apricot, pear, vanilla, and honey. Fresh and balanced, this is an elegant Rhône white that punches well above its price point.
On the palate, medium-bodied with gentle acidity and excellent flavour concentration. Ripe citrus flavours and an appealing saline minerality lead the way to a long, graceful finish.
