The Morin family has farmed around Bué - one of Sancerre’s most distinguished villages - for generations, gradually expanding the estate from 1.5 hectares to 10 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines on some of the finest sites in the region.
Beyond Sauvignon Blanc, the estate also produces Pinot Noir from clay-rich sites. The entry Sancerre Rouge is made with fruit from 40-70-year-old vines across several plots in the commune of Bué.
Bright and expressive on the nose, showing ripe cherry and fresh strawberry aromas layered with subtle spice and cedar nuances. On the palate, the wine is juicy and vibrant, driven by a core of crunchy red fruit and refreshing acidity. Ripe, well-integrated tannins provide gentle structure, elevating it beyond a simple vin de soif.
The wine is whole-bunch fermented with native yeasts and gently macerated for up to a month. It's then matured for 18 months in used French oak (50%) and stainless steel vats (50%). Bottled unfined and with only a coarse filtration to retain texture.
