Domaine Pierre Morin Sancerre Rosé 2024

The Morin family has farmed around Bué - one of Sancerre’s most distinguished villages - for generations, gradually expanding the estate from 1.5 hectares to 10 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines on some of the finest sites in the region.

While French rosé is most often associated with Provence and the grapes of Southern France, Pinot Noir from Sancerre, given the right terroir, can yield some of the finest rosés out there. The fruit for this cuvée comes from clay-limestone soils known locally as caillottes, which lend precision and minerality. Grapes are directly pressed immediately after harvest and fermented to preserve purity, aromatic lift, and freshness, resulting in a rosé of finesse, clarity, and vibrant energy.

Morin's rosé is complex, versatile, and effortlessly charming. Aromas of wild red berries and pink grapefruit leap from the glass, accented by delicate hints of spice and cracked pepper. Dry and juicy on the palate, with vibrant, crackling acidity, it offers both refreshment and depth. A compelling alternative to many more mainstream styles of rosé.
