In the Hautes-Corbières, a mountainous region of the Languedoc found between Narbonne and Perpignan, Maxime Magnon found a treasure: ancient vineyard parcels in steep, rocky soils destined to be abandoned thanks to the creeping influence of co-ops. Since taking control of these rustic, old vine parcels in the early-2000s, Maxime has helped rehabilitate the image of the Corbières, working with his century-old vines to craft intensely perfumed, alluringly bright wines from local varieties. L'Estrade is one of his most unique and dynamic wines, a blend of equal parts Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc. Full and round yet fresh and mineral in nature, this is a stunnigly well-balanced wine that's equally suited as an aperitif or alongside a seafood dish of your choice. Expect lively notes of ripe white fruits, honeysuckle, and crushed rock minerality.
On the palate, lithe and juicy with zesty flavours of citrus pith and green apple. Elegantly structured and mouthwatering, hints of herbal spice lead to a delightful finish.
