Henri Dosnon Cuvée Sélection is a classic expression of Champagne from one of the region's star micro-négociants, Davy Dosnon. A non-vintage blend of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, this wine is sourced from Davy's neighbours in the Côte de Bars village of Ligney, where his family has been based for centuries. Painstakingly hand-harvested, aged in bottle for 20 months, and finished with a dosage of 9g/L, this is a delightful Champagne brimming with notes of green apple, white flowers, brioche, and toasted almond. Well-knit, soft layers of creamy mousse are lifted by a crunchy acidity that brings a lovely verve to the palate. With good value wines hard to find in Champagne these days, this is a true standout for the price.
On the palate, it's smooth and well-rounded with a creamy mousse, crunchy acidity, and flavours of green apple, Bosc pear, and citrus zest. Elegant and light, the finish is long and refined, with a touch of nuttiness and minerality.
