This Sancerre Rouge is 100% Pinot Noir from the acclaimed lieu-dit vineyard of Bellechaume. a southwest facing site in the village of Bué. Made in a Burgundian style - a product of Pierre's training at Domaine Dujac - this wine is medium bodied, packed with ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit and gentle spicy notes (from some whole bunch inclusion) balanced by appealing minerality. Supple and agile on the palate, yet showing structure and concentration. A moreish detour from your usual red Burgundy.
On the palate, it is fresh with a juicy red fruit core, supple tannins, and a wonderfully long finish.
