This cuvée is family-owned winery Domaine Pierre Morin's appellation level wine, a benchmark Sauvignon Blanc crafted with fruit from three different villages around Sancerre: Bué (where the domaine is based), Sancerre itself, and Sury-en-Vaux. Farmed entirely organically, the grapes grew in a mix of soils types - predominantly variations of limestone and calcareous clay - which impart freshness, minerality, richness, and depth. Morin’s Sancerre Blanc is, simply put, outstanding; lean and mineral-infused, yet bursting with vibrant citrus and green fruit notes. A rich, gooseberry leaf style of Sancerre, typical of Bué, it offers distinctive aromas of blackcurrant leaf and tomato stalk.
On the palate, firmly structured and richly aromatic, with bright flavours of grapefruit, gooseberry and lime with a distinct minerality. Generous and fruity in character, the wine is perfectly balanced by an elegant acidity.
