Founded in 1990, Verget is a Mâcon-based négociant business run by renowned Burgundy producer Jean-Marie Guffens. Vallons de Lamartine is Verget’s village-level white, made from selected parcels in the southern Mâconnais. Vinified in 85% stainless steel tanks and 15% concrete vats, it's then aged for four months on lees, gaining weight and charm.
Textural yet refreshing, this fruit-driven and delicately spiced white offers notes of orchard and citrus fruit, alongside hints of white flowers and nectarine. Elegant and poised, it works beautifully as an aperitif or creamy pasta, and seafood.
