- In stock, ready to ship
A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, this silky-smooth Vacqueyras offers lifted aromas of red fruit, mint and dried herbs. Farmed organically and made with a minimal-intervention approach, it is a well-balanced, full-bodied red with excellent structure and aromatic complexity. Sourced from a single parcel in the Petit Vallon de l’Oligocène, it’s an ideal partner for hearty vegetarian dishes as well as rich meat-based fare.
90/100 - Checking in at 14% alcohol, the 2022 Vacqueyras Fumitarde delights with pretty red fruit aromatics, mint and dried herbs. Grippy tannins provide good structure while refreshing acidity neatly balances the flavor concentration. - Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous
16/20 - Tasted blind. Liquorice and earthy tobacco notes on the nose. Ripe red fruits and rounded, firm tannins; moderate acidity supports a vibrant core of fruit. Soft and inviting [...] - Alistair Cooper MW, JancisRobinson.com
On the palate, supple and well-balanced with a long finish reminiscent of cherry, smoke, and youthful tannins.
