Citrine is a stunning white wine crafted from four diverse vineyard sites planted on the same quartzite material that gives the wine its name. Spanning the length of California, it is sourced from Massa Estate in Carmel Valley, Watson Ranch in Napa, Brosseau Vineyard in the Gabilan Mountains and Bien Nacido in the Santa Maria Valley, this white is an ode to everything great about California wine. Concentrated thanks to its average vine age of 40 years, this Chardonnay balances juicy citrus and floral notes with an electrifying acidity and subtle creaminess. A mineral-rich, juicy delight, it's loaded with Californian charm alongside a hint of Chablisienne charm, pairing perfectly with seafood and zesty salads.
On the nose, vibrant and intense yer balanced. Expect notes of briny citrus, orchard fruit, chamomile, and ginger with its distinct minerality on full display.
On the palate, concentrated with lovely mid-palate presence. A superb acidity holds the tension, with the ever-present minerality providing wonderful balance. Flavours of lemon, pear, lime skin, early picked mango, clove, and quartz dust lead to a delightfully long finish.
