Domaine La Ligière Gigondas Les Bergines 2022

Grown right at the base of the famous Dentelles de Montmirail, this finesse-driven Gigondas is a classic blend of 70% Grenache is 30% Mourvèdre. Grown organically in a mixture of clay and grey limestone, this outstanding Southern Rhône is delightfully floral with touches of red fruit and notes of leather. Aromatically complex and well-balanced, this is the perfect red to pair with hearty stews.

92/100 - With a delicate, floral bouquet of iris, cassis, licorice, smoke and garrigue, the 2022 Gigondas les Berjines is an outstanding Gigondas. Medium to full-bodied, round and enrobing, it's layered and well-balanced with good depth at the core, framed by velvety tannins and a delicately peppery finish. Matured for five months in barrels prior to bottling, this quite approachable and gourmand Gigondas is a blend of 70% Grenache Noir and 30% Mourvèdre. - Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate

90/100 - The 2022 Gigondas Les Bergines shines with lush strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, cedar and spicy accents. Full-bodied, concentrated and firmly structured, the savory 2022 clocks out with a round and crisp finish. Give it another two years in bottle to develop further complexity. - Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous
