France > Southern Rhône > Côtes-du-Rhône

A blend of roughly equal parts Grenache Blanc and Clairette, this Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc from sibling duo Marie & François Giraud is a wonderfully round, mineral-laden example of the style. Grown in the sandy soils of Lirac, it delights with ripe orchard and stone-fruit notes. On the palate, its creamy texture is nicely balanced by a touch of saline minerality, bringing both freshness and length.

From 40-year-old vines grown in the Domaine's holdings in Lirac (ca. 15ha). The wine is native yeast fermented and aged on its lees for six months in stainless steel tanks, to retain purity.

Excellent as an apéritif, consider pairing alongside light French cheeses or fish in white cream sauce.

Despite being a relative newcomer, Domaine Giraud makes some of the most charming and elegant wines in the Rhône Valley’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
