The latest addition to Domaine Aléofane's range, Natacha Chave - descendant of the renowned Northern Rhône winemaking family - wows with yet another delicious and harmonious Syrah. With a nose of violets, black fruits and pepper and an ample and fully-structured palate, this is an impressive iteration of Cornas. Farmed biodynamically and produced with an awe-inspiring attention to detail, this is yet another superb labour of lave from Natacha.
On the palate, concentrated without feeling dense, with supple tannins balanced by an alluring acidity which contributes a lovely lightness. Flavours of dark fruit, crushed stones, and green pepper unfold layer after layer on the way to a long and sapid finish.
Drink 2024-2028.
Consider pairing alongside grilled rack of lamb with garlic and rosemary, beef cheek stew with carrots and red wine, or lamb navarin.
