This excellent Central Otago Pinot Noir is a blend of cult producer Felton Road's four estate vineyards, each plot contributing to the complexity of the wine and adding its own character. This wine is all about harmony and balance, with the transparency of fruit allowing the myriad details to shine through. Silken tannins finish the package for a simply classic vintage of Bannockburn.
On the palate, the first note is savoury, while the fruit sneaks in without a hint of New World sweetness. Tannins are firm enough to denote seriousness, but without any harsh second nature. Attractive and subtle herbal tones add freshness and intrigue.
