Thomas Morey is no stranger to Chassagne-Montrachet, being the 10th-generation in a centuries long lineage of Côte de Beaune winemakers to call the commune home. The fruit for this cuvée comes from Thomas Morey's minuscule 0.14ha parcel within the famed Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru. This is perhaps one of the most ethereal and crystalline expressions of this cru known for its power and opulence.
93-96/100 - Mid lemon yellow. An immediate weight of fruit appears, albeit still in the relatively restrained Thomas Morey style. An intense linear backbone, while all the fruit weight seems as if it has barely unfolded. Some lime notes in the citrus, a 2024 which seems just ripe yet retains all the intensity you could want.
