Domaine Etienne Delarche is a small family winery found in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, a small hamlet shadowed by the bulk of Corton hill. Over the course of three generations the Delarches have mastered this little corner of the Côte de Beaune, crafting pure and precise wines with stunning depth of flavour and potential to develop. This is their Corton-Charlemagne, sourced from a Grand Cru site often considered one of the world's greatest vineyards for Chardonnay. The Delarche plot is comprised of decades-old vines planted on the top of the slope, a prime location for producing Chardonnay with Corton-Charlemagne's signature creaminess and concentration. Long and silky, this wine sings of light spice, crushed stones, lime, and tangerine. As magisterial as the emperor for whom the vineyard is named, this is a complex and multi-layered Chardonnay capable of rivalling the greatest produced anywhere in the world.
