Slingshot Cabernet Sauvignon is a reminder of the halcyon days of California wine, when affordability and quality went hand-in-hand. A brilliant example of the power and finesse that typify the best California Cab, this is a fantastic red at an amazingly low price.
On the nose, characters of strawberry, rhubarb pie, black pepper, clove, and fresh blueberry.
On the palate, flavours of baked fig, mild cigar box, and blackcurrant framed by a bold, gravely tannin structure. A touch of oak finishes the palate with an elegant balance between tannin, acidity, and body.
90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 2% Petit Sirah.
The Stewarts are a famous Napa family, producing Slingshot from fruit grown in the North Coast region.
Ready to drink on release, but has the fruit and structure to improve for up to five years.
