Fruity blend of cherries, and red berries. On the palate, the wine is medium-body and very, very long finishing.

94/100 - The 2021 Pinot Noir McDougall Ranch is a dark, brooding wine. Black cherry, spice, dried herbs, leather and tobacco add gravitas to this sombre, imposing Pinot Noir. There's serious depth and textural intensity here.  - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

On this wine, there is an abundance of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry which translate from nose to palate.
There are also floral aromas, with just a hint of mushroom earthiness.
Wonderful balance between fruit, tannins, and acidity in this bottling.

Sourced from the McDougall Ranch vineyard, one of the highest regarded vineyards winemaker Jamie Kutch works with. Found on the Sonoma Coast, the soils of this vineyard are mostly oceanic in origin. Located just under 6km from the Pacific Ocean, this is a cool climate site optimal for the ripening of Pinot Noir in California.

When Jamie Kutch traded the high-octane world of Wall Street for the rolling vineyards of California in 2005, many raised an eyebrow. But skepticism turned to acclaim when his debut Pinot Noir notched an impressive 93 points in Wine Spectator. Jamie honed his skills alongside industry giants: he worked at Sonoma’s esteemed Kosta Browne and gained invaluable insights from Aubert... Read More >>
