Kutch is one of the metonymies of Pinot Noirs’ perfection in California. This young estate encourages their grapes to express their natural greatness. This vineyard lies up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, not far from Rhys Horseshoe and Alpine Vineyards.

92/100 - The 2021 Pinot Noir Mindego Ridge is a racy, classy wine from this well-known Santa Cruz Mountains site. The 2021 is tight, inward and not fully expressive of place just yet. Hopefully that will emerge over time. Then again, this is the Santa Cruz Mountains, where Pinots often need a few years to show at their very best. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Black fruity blend of black cherries, dark berries. On the palate, the wine is medium-body and very, very long.
The Kutch philosophy is to produce wines that express all the natural greatness of their vineyard origins.
The vines were planted in  2009.
Can drink from release; would age beautifully for a further five years.
Delicious with wild mushroom risotto.

When Jamie Kutch traded the high-octane world of Wall Street for the rolling vineyards of California in 2005, many raised an eyebrow. But skepticism turned to acclaim when his debut Pinot Noir notched an impressive 93 points in Wine Spectator. Jamie honed his skills alongside industry giants: he worked at Sonoma’s esteemed Kosta Browne and gained invaluable insights from Aubert... Read More >>
