This Mondeuse is sourced from organically farmed, 70-year old vines planted on the steeply sloping Coteau de Torméry near Chignin in the Savoie. Named 'Voie Royale' (literally 'royal way') in honour of the royal road of Victor Emmanuel II, which runs directly through the plot, this wine was hand harvested and naturally fermented in terracotta amphorae and concrete eggs. Bursting with expressive aromatics of violets and flavours of bramble fruits, this impressively gastronomic red is the perfect pairing for any manner of cuisine.
On the palate, well-integrated, beautifully ripe tannins pave the way for a long, minerally, and smoky finish. Flavours of blackcurrant and red plum abound from the first sip.
