Produced by one of France's most renowned co-ops near Avignon, this wine is made with 100% fruit from Domaine de la Coudette in the Côtes du Rhône village Signargues appellation. A blend of equal parts old-vine Grenache Noir and Syrah from organically farmed vineyards, it offers inviting aromas of ripe red and dark fruit, with a subtle spicy edge. With its supple texture and forward, generous fruit, it's a superb value expression of Côtes du Rhône red.
They are located in the Rousset, Combe de Mars and
La Fenouillère. Despite a classic soil made of galets roules (large, rounded pebbles), these vineyards tend to be late ripening, allowing for a slow and gentle grape maturation. This cuvée is therefore often harvested among the last, generally in the second half of the harvest.
The vineyards are planted with Grenache and Syrah, mostly old vines.
The vinification is traditional, fermentation occurs with native yeasts and maceration lasts approximately four weeks. The wine is then aged in vats for several months before being
bottled.
