Clotilde is the first female winemaker in a lineage dating back centuries, a true master of Saumur and the Cabernet Franc grape that has made the region famous. Les Rogelins has the longest ageing potential of any of Clotilde’s wines, powerful aromas of black and dried fruit coupled with a beauteous and powerful structure.
90/100 - Matured for four years in oak barrels, the 2014 Les Rogelins evokes aromas of smoke, vanilla pod, licorice and dark berries mingled with carnal notions and spices. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and textured, it has a fleshy, firm mid-palate and structured tannins with an oaky frame. It finishes long but a bit dry. - Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate
