Roussanne is often associated with the whites of the Southern Rhône, though some of our favourite variations come from the cool-climate, Alpine vineyards of the Savoie, where it is better known by its local name, Bergeron. This example is sourced from 25-year old, nearly vertical terraced plots found on the limestone scree soils of the Côteau du Torméry. Full of character with alluring flavours of peach, tangerine, and pine resin, this white perfectly balances the textural intrigue of Roussanne with the elevated acidity stemming from this cool-climate vineyard.
