Alberto Burzi

Run by brother and sister Alberto and Caterina, Burzi is a small, artisanal estate in La Morra.

Burzi’s holdings include some of La Morra’s finest sites, including La Serra and Capalot, with vines up to 80 years old. The vineyards are farmed organically, with certification underway, and in the cellar Alberto favours a gentle, low-intervention approach: spontaneous fermentations, restrained use of oak and minimal sulphur.

The wines share a strong sense of place, reflecting La Morra’s reputation for fragrant, forward wines with great purity of fruit and a somewhat less austere palate.
