Domaine Chavy-Chouet
France > Burgundy > Côte de Beaune
This wine is produced from 30 year old vines overlooking the Grand Crus of Puligny-Montrachet. Thanks to its attitude, the resulting wine displays a brilliant acidity, with floral and spicy notes before taking on greater density to reveal its incredible power.

The palate is well balanced and shows promise, displaying lovely walnut/smoky notes on the entry. There is still a little oak to be integrated, which will be subsumed with time. Just a faint touch of bitter lemon on the aftertaste extends the length.
100% Chardonnay, the lofty location of this plot and its impoverished soil result in a fine, subtle wine with more marked acidity.
Looking down over the grand crus of Puligny-Montrachet, these vines grow on limestone soil covered with white pebbles.
This wine pairs delightfully with chicken or rich, served in a rich cream sauce, or with grilled fish.
Can be enjoyed young but can be aged for up to 5 years.
Bottle Size: 75CL
ABV: 13.5%
Vintage: 2021
