These 90 year-old vines are situated on the gently sloping hillsides between Mount Baudille and the Mediterranean. More precisely, in the communes of Montpeyroux and Lagamas (Hérault). Creating a world class Carignan that beautifully expresses the unique terroir.
Deep dark red in colour, with intense aromas of liquorice and black currants, enhanced by hints of forest floor, wild pine, rosemary and sage.
The vines are over 90 years old.
100% matured in old oak barrels for 12 months.
Drinks beautifully now but will age until 2026.
Pair with braised duck leg, polenta and wilted Swiss chard.
