McDougall Ranch is a unique, cool climate site; the vineyard beautifully expresses varietal correctness.
An abundance of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry and cherry) which translates from the nose to the palate; floral aromas with hints of mushroom. This wine has a wonderful balance between its fruit, tannins and acidity.
Planted in 1998 on a southern slope of graywacke and sandstone.
Only 350 cases produced.
Produces long ageing wines; can drink for up to twenty years from release.
Delicious with hard cheese or perfectly accompanies a roasted beetroot salad.
